The name Ruslor was a corruption of the name of a Frenchman named Ruschleau and was established as a telegraph station at the junction of the M & O Railroad and the Illinois Central Railroad one mile north of Corinth in 1907. The place never grew, as the population was listed as 10 people some thirty years later.
