When the RR came through 10 miles SE of Kosciusko in 1870, a flag stop was established on this site and named Hollingsworth, named for Tom Hollingsworth on whose land the stop was located. Hollingsworth became extinct in 1934 when the flag stop was discontinued.
Hughes - (historical)
Hughes, about 10 miles NW of Kosciusko, was named for E.W. Hughes who moved here in the early 1890s. Hughes operated a store/post office in 1896, with Mrs. Hughes serving as postmistress until 1906. W.R. Campbell bought the Hughes store in 1908 and operated the post office until it was closed in 1910.
