Luther Carr Neighbours     1905 – 1970

L. C. Neighbours Buried Sunday At Bear Creek.

Luther Carr Neighbours, 64, manager of the Attala County Home and Farm, died Friday, April 10 at Montfort Jones Memorial Hospital. He had been in ill health for four years.

Funeral services were held Sunday, April 12 at 3 p.m. at Kosciusko's Second Baptist Church. Burial, directed by Jordan Funeral Home, was in Bear Creek Cemetery. He was a native of Attala County and a member of the Second Baptist Church. The Rev. Earl Ezelle and the Rev. W. P. Miley officiated.

Survivors are: his wife, Mrs. Margaret Bailey Neighbours of Kosciusko; two sisters: Mrs. Clyde McGee of Carlsbad, New Mexico and Mrs. Harvey Miller of Vicksburg; four brothers: James Ira Neighbours of Lake Providence, La., Eldridge Neighbours of Carlsbad, New Mexico, George Neighbours of Lambert and Frank Neighbours of Weir.

Pallbearers were T. G. Sadler, R. H. Murray, Grady Murray, Bryce Webster, Calvin Bingham, Dan Phillips, Kermit Moore, Red Alldread and Percy McCrory. Honorary were members of his Sunday School class.
