Percy Rainey, 75, farmer and businessman, died of multiple stab wounds Friday at his home. Services will be at 1 p.m. today at Jordan Funeral Home in Kosciusko with burial in Bear Creek Cemetery near McCool.
He leaves seven daughters, Patricia Hopper of Saraland, Ala., Carolyn Doyle of Gulf Breeze, Fla., Betty Roberts of Bay Minette, Ala., Cynthia Doude of McCool, Pam Rainey of Fairhope, Ala., Karen Ferrell of French Camp and Cheryl Henning of Florissant, Mo.; a son, Garland Rainey of Bedford, Ohio; a stepdaughter, Judy Dees, and a stepson, Joe Simmons, both of McCool; two sisters, Lurlene Koonce of Jena, La., and Anne Hambrick of Memphis; a brother, Tracy Rainey of Memphis, five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
The family requests that any memorials be sent to the Gideons Foundation.
