ASHLAND – James Gregory Williams, 49, went home to be with his Lord and Savior after a 25-year battle with Multiple Sclerosis at his home on Thursday, July 2, 2015. He was born on August 29, 1965, in Ripley. He loved being a DJ and enjoyed doing marstial arts. He served as a member of the Mississippi Army National Guard. He was a member of Springdale Baptist Church.
Services will be at 11 a.m. today, July 4, 2015, in McBride Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Randy Hamilton officiating. Burial will follow in Ashland City Cemetery.
Visitation will be today, July 4, 2015, from 7 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. Survivors include his mother, Carolyn Reed Carroll (Mitch) of Ashland; his father, Bobby Neil Williams (Diane) of Forsyth, Mo.; one sister, Melinda Williams Clark of Ripley; two nieces, Morgan Little (Chris) of Ashland and Logan Samples (Joey) of Kossuth; five great-nieces and great-nephews, Ellah, Cameron, Brantley, Parker and Jaxon.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, J.C. and Lola Van Reed, and John and Annie Williams.
Pallbearers will be Chris Little, Ricky Barnes, James Austin, Trent Clark, Glen Gresham and Dennis Campbell.
