Harmon Judson Combs Age 85 died September 6, 2006 at Baptist Memorial Hospital Golden Triangle in Columbus, MS Serviced will be held at Memorial Funeral Home on Saturday, September 9, 2006 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Reagan Rye officiating. Burial will follow at Artesia Cemetery. Visitation will be at Combs Family Residence on Friday, September 8, 2006 from 6:00 PM.
Mr. Combs was born on June 29, 1921 in Shugualak MS to the late Walter Jehue and Lilly Dale Jarvis Combs. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Gladys P. Combs. He was a member, former Deacon and Sunday School Teacher at Artesia Baptist Church, a U.S. Army veteran serving in WWII and a former member of the Artesia Board of Aldermen..
He was the former co-owner and operator of Comb's Discount Furniture, a dairy farmer, and retired from the Railway Express Agency. He loved gardening, spending time with his family, helping other people and was an avid Atlanta Braves fan.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Gladys P. Combs. Shuqualak, MS
